The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Eldoret better known as the Assumption Sisters of Eldoret(ASE) was founded in year 1962 as a local congregation by the late Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Brendan Houlihan the then Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret.
The aim of the congregation is to preach the gospel to all the people and work for unity, solidarity, peace, human dignity and promotion of human life to the full in the society; to love and care for all disadvantaged people.
Our work
To fulfill their mission to serve the community, the Sisters are involved in pastoral work, education, health, social work, rehabilitation, and foundations for needy children

Assumption sisters run three rehabilation Centres in Kenya, for street boys and girls. Our major commitment is to give children love, dignity, and hope in order to reclaim and restore their well-being so that they can rediscover their talent and potential for a productive future
